The reason is the time difference. UK time sits five to eight hours ahead of North America, and the highest-spending part of an English-language audience is in the US. When fans in New York or Los Angeles are relaxed and buying, it is late at night or early morning in the UK. A creator who answers her own inbox is asleep through exactly those hours.
